Like the other models I offer, these decoys are derived as a first step, after developing the final design, from a great deal of handcrafting from balsa wood.
The wood planking is laser engraved following the outline that our final lure should have, thus creating two facets that we are going to join and then manually work on using sandpaper until we get the shape we want.
On the inside we are going to place our harmonic steel wire, shaped to our need by forming the three loops respective to the anchors and the front hook of our lure. Above it will also be our lead of the artificial.
Along the length of the body, two leaves of silver foil etched in the shape of fish scales will then be applied from both sides, with associated fish opercula shapes.
We are at this point faced with a totally silver fish.
From here we continue with the processing of our coloring...
We carve the head of the fish, creating two dimples, inside which our eyes will be placed. Next we go on to apply the first coat of two-component glue to seal our now nearly finished bait.
We carve the underside of the bait head and then add its vetronite paddle.
We apply an additional 2 coats of two-component glue and finally after also re-drilling the perimeter of the paddle of our lure, it comes time to cock it and try it out.
Every one of them passes through my hands before being approved, after being tested under different conditions and on different types of recoveries, before passing tests, and then being boxed and proposed to the final customer.
We are talking about small works of art that will feed the expectations of even the most discerning anglers with the naturalness of their movement and coloration.
